bos Hugues

Lately Hugues has been showing an interest in carpentry. He helped Andrew make shelves for our depot (REALLY great shelves) and after that, he started taking on random carpentry projects around the house. What I really needed was some big sturdy shelves in my room-- a place for the "pharmacie manman gwenn" as it's called around here. We recently received a bunch of lumber from the Canadian military when they left our land, but we've all been so busy, I knew I would probably be in a holding pattern to get someone in who'd have the time to knock it out for me.

And so I asked Hugues, "You know those shelves you helped Andrew make for our depot? Can you make some for our bedroom?" He said sure. I am gonna be honest, I wasn't sure what we were going to end up with as I was pretty sure this was his first project of this sort.

Well, lots of sweat and determination later--

Ta Da!

Gotta say, I was VERY hesitant to have a male staff member (a manny, if you will) but dang, so far so good! (Plus, if I put the boys on the top shelf, they can't get down on their own, so... double bonus.)
